Ireland to SNUB Brexit Britain and get energy piped direct from FRANCE
 

Dublin is worried it will be isolated post-Brexit, because all its gas and electricity supply flow right through Britain.
European Commission bureaucrats have already forked over £3.5million to lay the groundwork for a ‘Celtic Interconnector’ which would carry 700 megawatts of electricity from the north of France to Ireland south coast.
That is enough to power almost half a million homes.
Reaching 600 kilometres, it would be one of the longest under-sea power lines in the world, and would allow Ireland to get French electricity when it needs it, and sell theirs when they have a surplus.... read more
