IOC demand human rights become a priority

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) were urged yesterday to put the protection of human rights at the heart of all future Games bids after two damning reports highlighted abuses at Rio 2016.
Amnesty International, the Swiss-based children’s rights agency Terre des Hommes and the Austrian human rights group Nosso Jogo Network met the IOC’s director of public affairs Philip French on Thursday to discuss the reports’ findings.
