International Bomber command unit near Lincoln opens today



The International Bomber command Unit near Lincoln opens its doors to the public today.
The centre has been six years in the planning and building.
There will be an official opening of the site in April.
The £12.5m centre already boasts the UK's tallest war memorial, the 102ft tall spire that is the same length as the wingspan of a Lancaster and a peace garden.
The names of all 57,861 men and women who gave their lives in the service of Bomber Command during the Second World War are honoured on walls of names made from Corten steel.
