Inquiry to decide fate of £100m Holyhead marina plan gets underway
 

A public inquiry begins this morning that could decide the fate of a £100m marina project in Anglesey.
The plans for Holyhead’s waterfront, which include a 500-berth marina and 326 homes, have caused rifts in the town.
Campaigners say Conygar Stena’s scheme, which already has outline planning permission, would “destroy” the area.
But Stena-Conygar claim the project, which would also see a hotel, youth centre and maritime museum built, will create around 700 jobs.
