'Innocent' Lewis Dunne shot dead after killers 'mistook him for rival gang member'
 

“Wholly innocent” teenager Lewis Dunne was “in the wrong place at the wrong time” when he was shot dead on a canal towpath in Vauxhall, a court heard.
Lewis Dunne, 16, may have been shot dead after his alleged killers “mistook him for a rival gang member”, jury were told today.
Lewis was blasted in the back with a shotgun by the Leeds-Liverpool canal in the Eldonian Village on November 15 last year.
The court heard Lewis had “noticeably curly hair,” as did a man who chased after his alleged killers earlier on the day of the murder.
