Inmates left 'shivering' in their cells as heating fails at Strangeways prison
 

Prisoners were left ‘shivering’ in in their cells when the heating broke down at Strangeways.
Inmates reportedly struggled to get to sleep as temperatures plummeted earlier this week and the heating failed.
Engineers were called and guards ensured prisoners had access to hot water while the problem was rectified, according to prison bosses.
A man who has two relatives on D wing including his 80-year-old grandfather, both awaiting sentence for firearms offences, told the M.E.N. the pair were left ‘shivering’ when the temperatures fell earlier this week.
