Injured man taken to hospital after being rescued from scaffolding
 

AN injured man was rescued by firefighters from scaffolding in Carlisle.
Crews from the city's east and west fire stations were called out to Castlesteads Drive, Yewdale, at about 10am today, where the casualty was 20ft up the structure.
The North West Ambulance Service confirmed that they were called to a private address and took a man the Cumberland Infirmary. The extent of his injuries is not known.
