'Inappropriate' lollipop man Colin Thompson has appeal dismissed after sacking



A lollipop man who was sacked for allegedly making an inappropriate remark to a mother and her daughter, has lost an appeal against his dismissal.
Colin Thompson, 71, helped youngsters across the road at Burlington School, in Bridlington, for four years.
But he was suspended and then fired by East Riding Council following the incident, which Mr Thompson described as "banter", in June.
