Ilkay Gundogan says he could have signed for Manchester United but is enjoying life at Manchester City



Ilkay Gundogan has admitted he nearly ended up playing in the red of Manchester United but couldn't be happier at Manchester City.
After much speculation surrounding his future, the German became the first signing under Pep Guardiola, when he left Borussia Dortmund after five years for £20million in June 2016.
Three games and one goal into life at the Etihad, Gundogan has settled well, but says it could very well have been United he had signed for.
