Ice rink, shops and multi-storey car park planned to revive Hull's Albion Square

A run-down area of Hull city centre could be transformed with plans for a new ice rink, shops and multi-storey car park.
The possible development is being earmarked for the so-called Albion Square area. Senior city councillors are expected to make a decision on whether to support the idea within the next few weeks.
If given the go-ahead, the new complex would replace the existing rink at Hull Arena in Kingston Street which dates from the mid-1980s. It is thought a typical 5,000-capacity rink would cost about £7m.
