'I tried it once and got away with it' Accountant with post-traumatic stress embezzles £220k from Edinburgh Fringe charity
 

An accountant yesterday admitted stealing £220,000 from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society’s pension fund.
Lynn Taylor, 56, pleaded guilty to embezzling the cash between 2008 and 2015 when she appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.
Prosecutor Aidan Higgins said Taylor had started work with the society – a registered charity – as a chartered accountant in 1994.
But problems emerged when arrangements were being made for a new company pension scheme in January 2015.
