Former Pensions Minister Ros Altmann says she would have resigned if the Government had turned pensions into Isas in the last Budget - and warns there is still a danger it will revive the controversial idea.
The Government came 'very close' to dropping the current system, where everyone gets an initial boost to their retirement fund from tax relief, in favour of the 'absolute disaster' of everyone saving into Isas out of their taxed income, Lady Altmann told This is Money.
