Hurricane Matthew: Flights from Newcastle to Florida delayed by 24 hours
 

Hurricane Matthew has brought misery to North East holidaymakers after flights from Newcastle to Florida were delayed by 24 hours.
The Category 3 storm has already killed hundreds after it rampaged through the Caribbean and now forecasters warn the death toll could rise as the deadly storm hits America.
Experts say winds of up to 130mph will leave millions without power and predict large swathes of land may be flooded.
And North East sun-seekers have been left stranded after airlines were left with no choice but ground planes destined for Florida.
