Hungry drink-driver swiped friend’s keys to drive to Telford in search of food
 

Usman Shad had been drinking with friends at Master Snooker Hall in the Sparkhill area of Birmingham before he got into the car, Telford Magistrates Court heard.
Ms Abigail Hall, prosecuting, said 21-year-old Shad took the car keys from a table, without his friend’s knowledge, before getting into a black Vauxhall Corsa and driving to Telford.
But the court heard police officers on patrol began following the car after they noticed it was travelling slowly.
