Hungary spends £300m on fence to 'save Schengen' - but Brussels has not paid nothing
 

The Hungarian Government set out to end the chaos of the 2015 migrant crisis when as many as four thousand asylum seekers and migrants crossed into the country every day.
After four months of witnessing the huge influx the Government issued an order for the building of a physical barrier to stop illegal migrants in their tracks.
And it came in the shape of a 175 kilometre fence - steeped in razor wire.
Its existence dramatically slowed down the flow of migrants and allowed politicians to reassure citizens of the European Union.
