Hundreds of police make dozens of arrests in gang crime raids across Merseyside



THIS is the moment police used electric saws to bust their way into a suspected crack house as a huge series of raids across Merseyside and Cheshire took place this morning.
Armed teams used high-powered cutting gear to make a hole in the door of a property on Bankfield Road, Widnes - just one of dozens of raids carried out across the region as police targeted suspected organised crime gangs.
A total of 340 officers took part in the dawn raids, which saw addresses in both Cheshire and Merseyside targeted.
