Hundreds of children 'at risk of danger' including unborn babies across Sandwell



Immediate action was taken over fears the children could come to harm – including 53 babies which had not even been born.
More than 300 children have been subject to child protection plans for each of the last five years, it has been revealed.
The majority of the children deemed to be at risk were under nine years old.
Child protection plans are opened if there is believed to be an immediate danger to children, where the authorities work with families to ensure their child is living in suitable surroundings.
