Humans will never live past the age of 125, scientists say
 

If you have plans for a holiday when you are aged 126, we've got some bad news for you.
Scientists believe that, while average life expectancy has been soaring since the 19th century due to a combination of diet, health and medicine improvements, it remains unlikely we'll reach beyond 125.
On average, babies born today can expect to live nearly until around the age of 80 - compared to an average life expectancy of around 50 for those born in 1900.
And, since the 1970s, the maximum duration of life - and the age to which the oldest people can live - has also risen.
