Hull tidal barrier lowered as Humber tides rise

The Hull tidal barrier has been lowered because of concerns over high tides on the Humber.
It comes after a flood warning was issued for Hessle Foreshore.
The Environment Agency said they had taken action in light of the forecast this evening and concerns over tides in the coming days.
It will remain down at least until Thursday, although with high tides expected around the Foreshore on Friday and during the weekend, it is likely to stay in position for a number of days.
