Hull parents' 999 anger as boy hit by car waits 40 minutes for ambulance



A family has spoken of their anger after having to wait nearly 40 minutes for an ambulance while a boy lay in a pool of blood on the road after being hit by a car.
Callum Moxon, ten, was knocked down as he ran across the road outside his home in Broadstone Close in Bransholme on Saturday, October 8. He suffered bleeding on the brain, a torn liver and broke his right leg in two places.
But despite his critical condition Yorkshire Ambulance Service could only dispatch a vehicle from Goole. The call was made at 4.08pm but the ambulance only arrived at around 4.45pm
