Hull City’s relegation leads to £1.5m loss for Superstadium Management Company



The company operating the KCOM Stadium and the Airco Arena recorded a £1.5m operating loss in 2015-16.
The loss is revealed in the newly-published annual accounts of the Superstadium Management Company (SMC) for the year to the end of June.
It compares to an operating of loss of £447,389 in the previous 12 months.
Hull City owner and chairman Assem Allam and his son Ehab are the sole shareholders in the SMC. The accounts says sales at the SMC were down 18 per cent compared to the previous year.
The slump in sales is attributed to Hull City's relegation to the Championship in 2015.
