Hull City's Jake Livermore says 'I'll play in defence for as long as boss wants, I'm enjoying it'



It was in the sleepy Austrian town of Kufstein that Jake Livermore saw his season – and perhaps his career – first sent down an unexpected path.
Asked to partner Curtis Davies in central defence for the second half of Hull City's friendly against Turkish side Caykur Rizespor in early August, Livermore took on a role he claims to have last filled at the age of 11. The central midfielder did it again three days later, this time for 90 minutes against Serie A outfit Torino in Salzburg, and that proved to be that.
