Hull City's Alex Bruce reveals ​lump size of ping pong ball has kept him out

Hull City defender Alex Bruce has explained that a ruptured Achilles injury sustained in the summer resulted in him having a lump on his foot the size of a ping pong ball.
Bruce made the revelation this morning when appearing on Goals on Sunday with his dad and former Hull City manager Steve Bruce.
The young Bruce says his recovery from the six-month injury is going well and he expects to be back in action before the end of the year.
"I had a calcified lump on my ankle and it continued to grew and grew and it became the size of a ping pong ball," Bruce told Goals on Sunday.... read more
