Hull City Council uses Ava, 5, to teach blue bin recycling rules



With her hi-vis jacket nearly touching her toes and hard hat struggling to stay perched on her head, Ava Crompton looks an unlikely recycling manager.
But the five-year-old proved appearances can be deceptive, when she donned safety gear, a megaphone and clipboard to star in a video aimed at showing adults how some waste can do more harm than good if thrown into blue recycling bins.
Grinning Ava can be seen rallying fellow pupils at Bricknell Primary School, telling them: "Right, we've got a big job here to do today and it's most important that we get it right.
