Hull City caretaker boss Mike Phelan says he's proved he can do the job



Mike Phelan believes he has proved his credentials to become Hull City's permanent boss ahead of another round of talks with vice chairman Ehab Allam during the international break.
Phelan is now in his 11th week as caretaker manager and oversaw his ninth competitive fixture when the Tigers were beaten 2-0 at home to Chelsea on Saturday.
Negotiations over his future date back to August and an agreement finally came close when Phelan was formally offered the chance to succeed Steve Bruce a fortnight ago.
