Howard Webb in a tangle over referee fight as Mark Halsey and Graham Poll deny 'unedifying' Lake District bust-up

Howard Webb's account of a fight between two Premier League referees has been disputed by his former colleagues.
Webb's version of events at a referees' team-building trip to the Lake District was part of the newspaper serialisation of his autobiography The Man in the Middle.
He writes: 'What had been intended as an informal beer 'n' barbecue night in Cumbria almost descended into a version of Fight Night at the NEC following a ruckus between Graham Poll and Mark Halsey.
