How you could see spectacular Northern Lights over Hull and East Yorkshire



It is getting colder but it could be a good trade off because it means there is a chance to see the Northern Lights tonight from Hull and East Yorkshire.
Keen-eyed stargazers could have a good chance to spot the natural phenomena, which sees ribbons of colour darting across the sky, tonight and during the weekend as we head into the autumn equinox.
According to the Met Office, while the area can expect some showers, when there is a break there is a good chance to spot the phenomena – technically called aurora borealis - usually reserved for more northern climes.
