How to stop loved ones falling into pensions poverty
 

Fewer than one in three couples over 40 have taken action to ensure that when they die, their partner will still have a retirement income.
One in five have never discussed financial planning for retirement at all and risk ending their years in poverty as a result, according to new research from Prudential.
This is particularly dangerous for women as one in 10 relies entirely on their partner’s retirement income.
That could dry up overnight if their partner dies early without making adequate plans to pass on their pension.
