How to see the Draconid meteor shower in the skies above Stoke-on-Trent this week



We are in for a treat this week as a meteor shower will be gracing the skies over Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.
The Draconid meteor shower is known as the Giacobinids. It is one of two meteor showers to take over our skies each October.
The annual meteor shower will be visible across skies on Friday, October 7 and Saturday, October 8.
And hopefully, if the weather is clear, as it has been most of this week, you should get a good view of the shower.
The sky lights up when the Earth passes the debris left by comet 21 P/Giacobini-Zinner.
