How to beat the British Gas price hike: Energy bills are due to rise 12.5% but you can SAVE £276 by acting now



British Gas has become the last of the big six energy providers to announce a price hike, of 12.5 per cent on electricity bills on average from 15 September.
This will increase the bills of those with a standard variable tariff to an average of £1,120 a year, or an extra £76.
But those on one of these accounts, could avoid the hike and save £276 by switching to the cheapest energy tariff on the market today.
