Hull City skipper Curtis Davies offered a damning verdict of his team's performance at Bournemouth, labelling it "gutless".
Davies, whose impressive early season form at the heart of defence had sparked talk of an England call-up, said the Tigers had "gifted" goals to the home side through set pieces and sloppy defending. Manager Mike Phelan, in his first match after agreeing permanent terms, offered a similar assessment, calling the 6-1 defeat "very embarrassing".
