Motorists must watch the Budget carefully after the Chancellor's warning earlier this year that additional tax would be considered as part of a wider crackdown on diesel cars.
As part of the last ever Spring Budget, Philip Hammond said the government would 'continue to explore the appropriate tax treatment for diesel vehicles, and will engage with stakeholders ahead of making any tax changes at Autumn Budget 2017'.
