'Hospital was like refugee camp' - Pensioners stranded for hours by Arriva ambulance service



A woman has criticised the Arriva ambulance service after both her mother and mother-in-law were left stranded at hospital for hours on the same day.
Jessica Morcom spoke out after her mother, disabled 83-year-old Margaret Ince, was waiting at Leicester Royal Infirmary for seven hours on Tuesday before an ambulance could take her home.
Her mother-in-law Valerie Morcom, 85, was stuck at the hospital for nearly four hours on the same day until her daughter came to pick her up.
Arriva has said it received a 'surge in demand' that afternoon and apologised to the patients and their family.... read more
