Hooded youths warned after 'throwing fireworks at cars and other children'

Kids throwing fireworks at cars and other groups of children have been warned they could cause “serious life changing injuries”.
Youths were spotted by officers on Broughton Avenue, and the greens on Broadwell Road, in Easterside from around 6pm last night.
Some covered their faces with hoods while others scarpered down side streets when police showed up.
Now officers have warned that “this needs to stop”.
While some residents were oblivious to the trouble, others told The Gazette that they have heard the loud bangs of fireworks more regularly over the past week.
