Homophobic attacks rose 147% after Brexit
 

We all know that the result of the EU referendum prompted a steep rise in racist hate crime.
But surprising new figures released by LGBT charity Galop reveal that there was also a huge increase in homophobic attacks after the Brexit vote.

The Guardian reported that hate crimes where LGBT people were victims increased by 147% compared to the same three-month period last year.
