Homophobic abuse hurled at two men as they walked down Jesmond street
 

A victim of homophobic abuse in Jesmond has spoken of his shock.
It comes after two men were walking down Osborne Road when homophobic comments were shouted from a car as it drove by.
The car involved is believed to be a blue VW Polo, and police enquiries to locate the driver are ongoing.
Describing how the abuse made him feel, one of the victims said: “When the incident first occurred, I was shocked more than anything. It came out of nowhere, and I didn’t really know what to do.
