Homeless man scooped into rubbish lorry after crawling inside bin for shelter
 

A homeless man who crawled into a bin for warmth suffered leg fractures after being scooped into a bin lorry in the early hours of the morning. 
The emergency air ambulance landed in Castle Gardens on Rochester High Street at around 8.30 this morning to assist with the case.
It is understood that the man was sleeping surrounded by cardboard in a large bin on the high street before he was picked up by the lorry.
A witness told the Kent Messenger that he was walking his dog at around 8.15 am and came across police, fire and ambulance crews attending he scene.
