Holyrood pledges £20.3m for equalities



THE Scottish government pledged £20.3 million yesterday to tackle different forms of inequality and discrimination.
The cash will go to over 200 projects that work with individuals, families, children and communities to address issues such as homophobia, sexism and racism.
Equalities Secretary Angela Constance said: “Equality is part of the aspiration and ambition we have for Scotland.
Ms Constance said that Scotland had made good progress on LGBTI rights but warned not to be complacent as “there is still work to do to eradicate prejudice and discrimination against LGBTI people.”
