Hollygirt pupils celebrate opening of 'living playground'
 

Nottingham schoolkids have celebrated the opening of a new woodland adventure playground which aims to help children develop an interest in the natural world.
Pupils at Hollygirt School in Elm Avenue, Mapperley Park, welcomed their new "living playground" called Hollyearth on Tuesday which includes a "mud kitchen", a digging pit and a gazebo which can be used as an outdoor classroom.
The new facility was opened by Nottingham environmental campaigner Penny Poyser, one of the Independent newspaper's '100 women who have changed the world'.
