Hit-and-run Audley crash killed dog and put owner in hospital



Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver who ploughed into a pedestrian and killed his dog.
The smash left the 24-year-old pedestrian needing hospital treatment for leg and facial injuries after he was mown down at 9pm on Monday.
But the man's dog – a 16-week-old Cocker Spaniel – was killed in the collision in Wereton Road, Audley.
Now Staffordshire Police are appealing for help to try to track down the motorist following the collision near the scout hut.
