Historic steamship to stop at the Albert Dock following £3m restoration
 

A historic steamship is coming to the Albert Dock after a 12-year break from the waterways and a £3m restoration at Cammell Laird .
The Daniel Adamson - or The Danny - will cruise into the dock after setting off on a voyage up the River Weaver from Ellesmere Port .
The ship, which was built in 1903 and is the oldest steam passenger vessel in the UK, will leave Ellesmere Port on September 30 for its first trip with the public. It will head to the Acton Bridge Steam Fair on October 1-2.
It will then head to Albert Dock where it will be open to the public for dates until the end of 2016.... read more
