High winds battering Merseyside set to ease

Liverpool can expect a blustery end to the afternoon - but the high winds hitting Merseyside are set to die down this evening, according to the Met Office.
Merseyside has been battered by winds and wet weather throughout the day today, with temperatures of around 12 degrees adding to the wintery feel.
High tides were captured on Crosby beach on Tuesday afternoon, but conditions are set to ease and Wednesday is expected to be a “mainly dry day with sunny spells”, with the chance of the “odd shower.”
