High Sheriff gives support to Crimestoppers charity



The High Sheriff is to spend the next six months raising cash and awareness for Crimestoppers.
The tip-off phone line is a charity run by volunteers in all counties, including Leicestershire.
It has become the latest voluntary organisation to be backed by the High Sheriff of Leicestershire, Surinder Sharma, who plans to support the charity through events he is involved with between now and the end of his time in the role next April.
Professor Sharma said the work of Crimestoppers was "invaluable" in keeping Leicestershire safe.
