Heroic dog saves tourist’s false leg from being swept out to sea



A dog has been hailed a hero for rescuing a holidaymaker’s prosthetic leg when it was swept into the sea.
Wire-haired German pointer called Gertie dived into the waves and returned with the false limb.
Man caught with 13 wraps of drugs sellotaped to his penis and balls says he was hiding them from his wife Gertie and her owner John Dooner, 71, were on a beach when the woman’s leg floated away after she removed it to sunbathe.
John threw a stone towards the plastic leg and 18-month-old Gertie loves a game of fetch.
