Hero's welcome for Paralympic champion Laurence Whiteley



A paralympic champion received a hero’s welcome when he returned to the Teesside club where he learnt his sport.
Laurence Whiteley and his partner Lauren Rowles struck gold in Rio last month, winning the mixed trunk and arm double sculls rowing.
Northallerton athlete Laurence took up para-swimming when he was 14 as part of his rehabilitation after suffering from an aggressive form of bone cancer.
