Helping to get homes warm for winter



Residents are being encouraged to get cosy this winter.
Northumberland County Council, as part of the Warm Up North partnership, was awarded £6.5million from the Government in September 2015 to install central heating systems into homes for free.
Around 700 homes without central heating systems have benefited from the scheme, including Frances and Maurice Octon who had been previously using a coal fire and electric night storage heaters.
Mrs Octon said: “The new heating system is absolutely marvellous and we’re delighted with the difference it has made to our home.”
