Heavy rain causes flooding and leaves motorists stranded
 

Heavy rain has flooded roads and left motorists stranded in north Wales.
Police are urging people to avoid travelling where possible after Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey were hit.
The Bangor and Bethesda policing team said it had been assisting its Anglesey colleagues, where officers have rescued people stranded in vehicles.
The Met Office has yellow "be aware" weather alerts in place for areas of Wales until Thursday.
It warns of gusts of up to 70mph (113km/h) over the mountains in Wales, and up to 100mm of rain on higher ground in north west Wales.
