Heather Watson suffers seventh straight defeat as British number two loses first round in Volvo Car Open



Heather Watson fell to a seventh-straight defeat as she tumbled out of the Volvo Car Open in Charleston to American Taylor Townsend.
The British number two has suffered early exits at every tournament since her run to the semi-finals of the Hobart International in January.
Townsend, 21, capitalised on a tentative display from Watson to secure a 6-3 6-4 victory in the first event of the clay-court season.
