Headmasters' warning against public-private sector 'arranged marriage'
 

Independent schools cannot deliver effective help to state schools in England with "a gun pointing at our heads", a leading headmaster will say.
Mike Buchanan, of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference, will say "forcing" the sectors to work together is "fraught with difficulties".
He will compare the government's plan for changing the way schools work together with an arranged marriage.
Ministers say many private schools have good state sector partnerships.
