Head of Derby UKIP 'saddened' after national leader Diane James quits
 

The head of the UK Independence Party in Derby has said he is "saddened" to hear the news that its national leader has quit her role just 18 days after being elected.
Alan Graves said Diane James "needs to be give space in her life" after she stepped down less than three weeks after being put into the post.
Ms James posted her statement to The Times newspaper on her Twitter account announcing the decision.
